Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black travelling on an NZ flight number operated by Virgin Atlantic will enjoy:

  • Priority baggage
  • An extra additional checked baggage allowance (one piece up to 23kg)

Lounge Access

Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black may access lounge facilities when travelling on Virgin Atlantic operated flights between London and San Francisco or Los Angeles as per the following:

Departing London Heathrow

  • When travelling to San Francisco, Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black, plus one guest, may access the No1 Lounge. Your ticket must have an NZ flight number and be operated by Virgin Atlantic.
  • When travelling to Los Angeles, Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black, plus one guest, may access the No1 Lounge even if booked on a Virgin Atlantic (VS) flight number operated by Virgin Atlantic provided the booking is ticketed by Air New Zealand and connects to an Air New Zealand operated departure.

The No1 Lounge is located after security, on the way to Gate 10. Follow the signs for Lounge F and No1 Lounge. The No1 Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3 was awarded Best Premium Airport Lounge UK 2024 by the International Business Magazine Awards.

Star Alliance lounges cannot be accessed when travelling on Virgin Atlantic operated flights.

Departing San Francisco

  • Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black, plus one guest, may access Virgin Atlantic lounges. Your ticket must have an NZ flight number and be operated by Virgin Atlantic.

The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is located after Security on Level 5. Star Alliance Lounges cannot be accessed when departing San Francisco on Virgin Atlantic operated flights.  

Departing Los Angeles

  • When travelling to London Heathrow, Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black, plus one guest, may access the Star Alliance lounge even if booked on a Virgin Atlantic (VS) flight number operated by Virgin Atlantic provided the booking is ticketed by Air New Zealand and follows an Air New Zealand operated arrival.
