Spending Airpoints

Domestic Australian Qantas flights, purchased in conjunction with an Air New Zealand operated international connection can be purchased using Airpoints, directly from the Air New Zealand website.

Alternatively, Koru members can spend Airpoints on domestic Australian Qantas flights by purchasing reward tickets through our partner airline online portal.

Koru benefits

Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, and Koru Black may use Qantas Club domestic lounges, with one guest, when travelling on a domestic Qantas flight with an NZ flight number. Simply show your boarding pass and your Koru card at the entrance.

No other frequent flyer benefits apply on Qantas flights.

Baggage allowance

No additional frequent flyer checked baggage allowance applies to Qantas flights, including those with an NZ flight number.

If your journey includes a Qantas flight, even if you are beginning this journey with Air New Zealand, Koru members may only check in the ticketed baggage allowance and no additional frequent flyer allowance is permitted.

Please note: Additional frequent flyer baggage entitlements do not apply on any Qantas operated sectors and excess baggage fees may apply.
