Auckland - Shanghai Flights
Air New Zealand is now operating two weekly return flights between Auckland and Shanghai with passengers subject to government border controls in each direction.
Please check the Important Notes carefully before making your flight booking as the flights are subject to some special conditions.

Customers travelling on these services will be subject to all applicable government border controls. Please check whether you are eligible to satisfy these requirements before booking. Those who do not meet any applicable government entry requirements will not be allowed to board the flight.
New Zealand: Currently, only New Zealand citizens and residents may enter New Zealand. There are a limited number of exceptions for other travelers who should seek approval from Immigration New Zealand before travelling. Visit New Zealand Immigration official site to find out more.
Arriving in Auckland: Upon arrival at Auckland all travelers will be required to undertake 14 days quarantine or isolation in Auckland and will not be able to connect directly beyond Auckland. Find out more
China: Effective from 28 March 2020, all foreign nationals, including those holding visa or residence permits, will be temporarily suspended from entering China. More information is available here.
Commencing from 3 September 2020 (inclusive), all passengers, including the Chinese nationals and foreign nationals, departing from New Zealand on flights travelling to China (including direct flights and flights transiting through any third country or territory), and passengers transiting through New Zealand to China, must complete the COVID-19 test within 3 days before boarding China-bound flights, and obtain green health QR code with the "HS" mark or the Health Declaration Form indicating the negative result of COVID-19 test. Airlines will conduct the inspection and verification when passengers check in for boarding. A passenger who does not hold the valid green health QR code with the "HS" mark or the Health Declaration Form will be denied boarding. See nz.china-embassy.org for more information .
- Arriving in Shanghai: Upon arrival at Shanghai all travelers will be required to follow the quarantine requirements.
